What Are Design Tickets?

On Oct. 1, 2002,  Sunshine State One Call of Florida (SSOCOF) will implement amendments to Chapter 556 of the Florida Statutes.  These amendments include a new process through which planners may request a design ticket.  The design ticket portion of the amendment places specific responsibility on the member operator. 

What Are The Benefits of Responding To Design Requests? 

Identifying the location of your facility in the early stages of planning will save you money in the future.   When Designers know the location of your buried facility they can design their projects to minimize the need for you to move your facilities.  You also have an opportunity to engage planners and developers as damage prevention partners. 

Documenting the requests and changes also keeps utilities aware of new development. This information can be used to determine where and how to provide services to new residents.
